Pirates was a project helping a Korean visual effects company complete a number of shots including whales being harpooned.
Effects elements around the whales including spray and water were added and the elements were then composited by the Korean client.
My involvement was translating the data from Maya into Houdini, via Alembic and the RSP pipeline as well as doing QC to ensure the data lined up.
It was a short but sucessful project
